Liza Boffi, AIA is an Adjunct Professor of Architecture at Carnegie Mellon University, where she teaches both graduate and undergraduate design studios. She brings an interdisciplinary perspective that bridges architecture, product design and fine art. After earning her Master of Architecture from Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD), Boffi worked with several acclaimed firms in New York City, including Ikon 5 Architects and 1100 Architect. While there, she contributed to award-winning projects including an AIA NJ Honor-winning Student Center.

At L. Boffi Studios, she maintains a creative practice that spans digital and physical mediums, including architectural design, web design and botanical painting. Her artistic work reflects her commitment to precision and storytelling, qualities that define both her professional practice and teaching methodology.

Her commitment to community engagement is demonstrated through her work as a Community Service Fellow with the Interagency Council on Housing and Homelessness (ICHH), and her mentorship of GSD students. As a fellow at the ICHH, she developed recommendations for their youth homelessness initiatives. This extended her thesis work on the psychological impact of space on healing, as advised by Krzysztof Wodiczko. She is an American Watercolor Society member.
