Stefan Gruber to Present at 109th Annual ACSA Meeting After Winning Two Education Awards
Associate Professor Stefan Gruber won two 2021 Architectural Education Awards from the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA). He will present at the 109th Annual ACSA Meeting taking place March 24-26, 2021. Each year, ACSA honors architectural educators for exemplary work in areas such as building design, community collaborations, scholarship, and service. Award winners inspire and challenge students, contribute to the profession’s knowledge base, and extend their work beyond the borders of academy into practice and the public sector.
Gruber was awarded in the Collaborative Practice category for his studio's research for the travelling exhibition "An Atlas of Commoning," an exhibition by ifa (the German Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations) curated in collaboration with ARCH+. This award honors best practices in school-based community outreach programs.

Gruber was awarded in the AIA/ACSA Housing Design Education category for his spring 2020 studio "Cooperative Housing for the 2000-Watt Society." This studio recognized the importance of producing architects ready for practice in a wide range of areas and able to be leaders and contributors to their communities.
