Mission
The Margaret B. Gruger (A’ 41) Faculty Fund was established to support the needs of Carnegie Mellon Architecture and its faculty. The Head of School solicited project proposals from the faculty that advanced the mission and reputation of the school. Upon completion of the project, recipients were required to make a public presentation of their work to the school community.
Evaluation Criteria
Applicants submitted proposals that clearly explained the project purpose, research objectives, methods and materials. Selection was based upon the following criteria:
- The impact of the proposal in relation to the candidate’s career development.
- The impact of the proposal in relation to the mission of the school.
- The candidate’s proposed public presentation to the wider school community.
The Head reviewed the proposals and made the selection. There was one (1) award made in the amount of $5,000 each year. Upon completion of the project, the funding recipients were required to make a public presentation of their work to the school community.
Eligibility & Schedule
The Margaret B. Gruger (A’41) Faculty Fund was open to all current Carnegie Mellon Architecture faculty.
